The reason why I havent posted in a while is because I had to find this video. Finally I found it and I (yes me) uploaded it on YouTube. My first youtube video post.

Its Mos Def in one of his masterpieces. This one he spits non-stop. Rarley do you see a video that is better than the actual song but this video is unreal. I am huge chappelle fan and a huge mos def fan so it just works. Ill post the video first.

According to me Wale is: a legit new rapper with a new style that you dont hear all the time. If I had to classify him, id say he is a mix between Kanye and Talib (thats a pretty good two people to be mixed with). He works with Mark Ronson who makes beats for lots of legit rappers and I think this guy is going to be big soon. He reps DC. Check out this song, called W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E.

Was sitting listening to Lupes new CD "The Cool" when I thought.. I need to listen to his old album "Food & Liquor". Thats where he really made dope tracks. Especially probably my second favorite song by Lupe ever (behind Hip Hop Saved My Life of course). Lupe Fiasco - Daydreaming ft. Jill Scott. Lupe hits the track hard. Check it.

Breaking Out The Vocoder

Sorry for not posting in a while. Been busy with school and work.

Kanye West in whom I am a big fan of dropped a new track with Young Jeezy whom I am not such a big fan of. The track is hot, but I dont like that Kanye has starting using the vocoder in his tracks (like T-Pain) does. Makes it sound like a robot. Track is called "Put On" set to be on Young Jeezys new album releasing soon called "I am Trap". Kanye even talks about his recent divorce.. gotta actually LISTEN to the lyrics.

The Man Who Tells Great Stories

People somehow think its cool to like underground rap. They think I will be better friends with them or think that they are so cool for liking non-mainstream rap. I always ask, "Whos your favorite underground rappers?" When they answer, "Atmosphere, I love that guy!" I know that person is fake... FYI Atmosphere is two guys, Slug (the rapper) and Ant (the DJ). Ever since about freshman year of college I was turned onto these two clowns, and its right up my street.

I just got their new album which drops April 22nd (which I will purchase from the store when available). Great CD from what I have heard so far. Love atmosphere for the stories they rap about which is different what you normally hear today. They are like a modern day slick rick. Imma upload this song called "Yesterday" to download, off the album, "When Life Hands You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold". He tells a story about his dad who died who he didnt realize how much he is just like his dad.

The first blog will be simple. Its my favorite song of all time, back when Hip-Hop was real. The reason why this song is my favorite song of all time is because the lyrics ring true and it seems like Biggie, Puffy and Ma$e were having a great time while they were making this song. Just look at the video, not only hilarious with the golf scene but just all out crazyness. Ma$e does a great interview in the middle of the video.
